With a change in its Financial Services policy, Google announced that it would ban all ads for crypto money in June 2018.
Advertisers using Google AdWords have found that the number of crypto ads displayed is greatly reduced. Immediately after this decline, Google was forbidden. In spite of all the financial regulatory news we had in the past, Google has rejected advertising bans on crypto money and ICOs.
According to Google’s newly updated financial products policy, “ICOs, including crypto money exchanges, crypto-money-books and crypto-money counseling” no crypto money ads will be accepted.
This move will affect all Google’s ad products. So companies will not be able to advertise on any platform of Google.
Google spokesman Scott Spencer said in an interview with CNBC, “We do not have a magic sphere that will show how crypto money will affect the future. But in this regard we have compared with consumer harm. Consumer harm is damaging our brand value. ” said.
With this step, Google has taken a similar decision that Facebook has given us over time.
